About Me
Welcome -- I'm so glad you're here.
I'm Pam, the founder of Pilates by Pam, and I believe that Pilates is more than a workout -- it's a lifestyle. With over a decade of experience teaching Pilates, a Master's Degree in Dance and Dance Education from New York University, and certifications through both Steele Pilates and Body Arts and Science International (BASI), I bring a deep understanding of movement, alignment and the transformative power of mindful exercise.
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, my roots are in professional dance and education. I've performed across the country and internationally, most recently with Jazz Roots under the direction of Bessie Award-winner Sue Samuels. I've also taught Pilates and dance at premier institutions, including Equinox, and spent over 13 years as the Middle and Upper School Dance Director at Poly Prep Country Day School, where I was also the Dean of Student Life.

At my studio, each session is thoughtfully designed to meet your individual needs. I tailor every class -- whether you're brand new to Pilates or a seasoned practitioner -- to help you move better, feel stronger and live more fully in your body. My approach is rooted in the core principles of Pilates: breath, alignment, strength and flexibility.

My goal is simple: to help you feel longer, taller and more connected -- not just in the studio, but in your everyday life.

This is more than a workout. It's a community, a commitment to self-care and a celebration of what your body can do.

I can't wait to move with you.
